What Goes Into An Effective Blog Post?

Know the audience. Who might read your blog, what they are looking for, what problem they have you can help solve.

The topic should be relevant to your audience and address a question you hear often.

Incorporate keywords prospects might search for. Make sure the chosen keywords are in the title and in the opening paragraph.

Include relevant keywords in the title, headings, and throughout the text. Don’t do keyword stuffing.

Provide useful information that relates to the title and opening paragraph. No “fluff”. Write in short paragraphs, using natural language.

Use photos and videos to enhance your content & break up long blocks of text.

Younger audience members want to know who they are doing business, what your values are. Share personal anecdotes, experiences or opinions to make your post more relatable and authentic. Build trust.

Provide a call to action (CTA) like subscribe, download, like or share.

Share your post on social media. Send an email to your prospects’ list announcing a new blog. Don’t send them the blog, direct them to your website.
